Been a very busy school holidays in fact I will go back to get a rest. Attended 4 workshops and almost got the kiln perfect.
Jono Bateman
held a very successful week of workshops and the opening of his first solo Exhibition at the Maroochydore Botanical Gardens. I attended a workshop learning how to capture the essence of nature in inks. The following weekend I joined Leisa Gunton and friends at Booloumba Creek for another fantastic pit firing and Raku workshop and slept out in a tent during the massive storm the region had. I also attended another sculpture workshop by Janna Parmeijer at Curramore and am working on a large turtle. Finally I hosted a paper making workshop run by the very talented Katrin Terton and we learnt a few easy tricks to successful paper making. And thankfully it is now finally raining.
Don’t forget to drop into the gallery, though best to phone first if
it is not a weekend as I may be at school.
cheers
sally
